The council has delivered new licensing regulations to improve condominium houses and bedsits throughout the borough.

I believe each property with more than one let room will need to be registered by its landlord from July 1.

Landlords with apartment belongings in the targeted location, which overlays elements of the Chalvey and Central wards, will also be required to apply for and gain a brand new landlord license.

Cllr Mohammed Nazir (Lab, Baylis, and Stoke), the cabinet member for housing and community protection, stated: “A lot of the folks that rent in Slough are prone, families with younger children, or prison workers who have no circle of relatives or friends to depend on and essentially positioned up with poor situations as they’ve nowhere to show.

“With a licensing device where landlords are forced to sign up, there can be accountability, and those who want help can get it.”

Slough has more than the countrywide average of condominium accommodation within the borough, which currently stands at 33 according to a cent.
