Two nearby nursing houses referred to for ‘continual report of bad care’

Two nearby nursing houses are on a formerly secret federal government list of facilities with a “persistent document of negative care.”
A report released by two U.S. Senators on Monday cites Premier Estates of Cincinnati-Riverside and Woodcrest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Elsmere, Kentucky, among almost 400 nursing homes with troubles documented with the aid of the government, but whose names have not been publicly disclosed.

At Woodcrest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Elsmere, a government inspection on Feb. 8 observed that the home:

Not sufficient staff;
Failed to offer insulin on time;
Unnecessary medicines.
At Premier Estates of Cincinnati-Riverside, an inspection on Feb. 13 located:
Residents obtained immoderate remedy;
Improper care of an affected person with a urinary catheter is required.
The nursing home inspections observe hospital treatment, first-rate existence, protection, and cleanliness.

The new list of troubled nursing homes referred to as Special Focus Facility Candidates was kept under wraps until Pennsylvania senators asked for it, consistent with the Associated Press.
