Congress alleges land scam in Faridabad
Says Patanjali organization has obtained over four hundred acres of forest land in the Aravalli range.
On Saturday, the Congress requested that the BJP authorities investigate an alleged land scam in Faridabad, on the outskirts of Delhi.
Addressing a press conference, Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera alleged that the Patanjali group had received nearly four hundred acres of prohibited land. “The Patanjali organization and Acharya Balkrishna, together with some belongings sellers, have received four hundred acres of forest land falling within the Aravalli Mountain variety. This was carried out through the power of lawyers. This is referred to as ‘Shamlat Zamin.’ Under the law, there can be no cultivation or any other activity on such land,” said Mr. Khera. “In 2011, the Haryana authorities underneath the Congress ordered the panchayat to repair all Shamlath lands which can be beneath unlawful activities,” he said.
The Congress alleged that the land was acquired by a Faridabad-based real estate agent, Pravin Kumar Sharma, who, along with his friends, held 104 legal professionals. Together with his friends, Mr. Sharma controls more than 400 acres of forested hill, not unusual land in Kot village, Faridabad.
‘Shares transferred.’
Mr. Khera alleged that Mr. Sharma offered land alone and represented Herbo Ved Gram Private Limited, a business enterprise associated with the Patanjali organization. In 2017-18, about 99% of this company’s share was transferred to Acharya Balkrishna.
As per the 2017-2018 information, this company had earned the most effective ₹60,000 as revenue from its operations; however, it gave advances of ₹16. Seventy-seven crores, Mr. Khera said.
He alleged that the State authorities had been patronizing “illegal sports.” Over the past four years, he attempted to take numerous different steps to dilute or remove the Aravalli forests’ prison protection.
